libinput-tools software package provides input device management and event handling library - command line tools, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libinput-tools
libinput-tools is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libinput-tools package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libinput-tools *
You will get with libinput-tools package name, version, architecture and description in a table
